YDub Run Club Half Marathon Training
Has a half-marathon been on your bucket list? Join Ironman Coach Jody with an 8-week training geared towards those looking for support, encouragement, and strategic workouts to get you to your goal. Mileage will be increased each week culminating in a 13.2 mile run. Get your good shoes and earn that half-marathon title!

YWCA Swim Challenge!
Join this motivating challenge designed to help you reach wellness through swimming. We are challenging you to swim the length of Lake Norman!! Lake Norman is 34 miles long. 1 mile =1650 yards. This is an individual challenge but swim with a friend for motivation! Keep up with your mileage on the swim challenge. Mileage cards must be turn into the Lifeguard on Duty each time you swim.
There is no online registration, but you can print the form here or visit the front desk.
Coaches Jody and Lisa guide you through race swim techniques and challenge the body through running with boot camp style exercises. The training will culminate with the YWCA Splash & Dash at the YWCA.
$50 for members / $70 for non-members

Fall Swim Clinic!
YWCA offers Swim Clinics where the Coach will give each swimmer the special attention to elevate their swimming skills. We will focus on diving and racing starts, turns for all strokes, freestyle, backstroke, butterfly, or breaststroke to help your child improve his/her swimming skills! Your child will be grouped with other swimmers of similar age and ability.
Prerequisites include: Ability to swim the freestyle stroke 100 yards non-stop (4 full lengths of the pool).

September 18 - November 9

Arthritis Workshop Classes in the Pool
Tuesdays 9AM - 9:50AM *No charge for members & visitors
Join Cynthia, our Arthritis Foundation certified instructor, and benefit from safe exercises that assist with range of motion, and gently promote flexibility, strength and endurance. Click here for more info and a waiver form.
Get your Scuba Certification in the Pool!
Learn how to breathe underwater! Your PADI-certified instructor, Ken, will teach you how to become scuba certified, or simply introduce you to the exciting hobby of scuba diving! To learn more, check out our flyer here!
Scout Swim at the Pool
Register your troop(s) for in-water badge work, train for camp swimming or pure pool fun. Trained staff will lead Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts through in-water training. We can customize a program to fit your needs or use our own American Red Cross approved safety program. This program is designed to meet the requirements of the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of America Aquatics Badge.

Host your own Flick & Float at the YWCA!
Celebrate your next milestone or accomplishment with a Flick & Float Pool Movie Night! We can host your group on a Friday night, whether it's children or adults-only groups. Child must be able to float unsupported for at least five seconds on front and back; able to swim five yards of front and back crawl without assistance. Children must be nine years or older or swim with an adult at all times.
