Families Together
1On April 15, 2008 the YWCA held a ribbon cutting ceremony for "Families Together," a transitional housing program for homeless families. Families Together Program participants have access to a myriad of services including: family counseling and mentoring; computer instruction; education and job training programs; career counseling; financial planning services and volunteer facilitated social activities.

When the completion of this project, the YWCA is now equipped to house over 100 homeless women, children and families on the YWCA Park Road campus. To further assist families, an after school program has been opened especially for the children living at the YWCA.

A Warm Welcome for Homeless Families

We know that many of you look for volunteer opportunities to share with your family and friends, co-workers and church groups. This year the YWCA Central Carolinas has made giving easy by registering at Target stores nationwide. Items purchased off of the YWCA Target gift list will be used to “furnish” the YWCA Families Together residences.

You can pull up the YWCA gift registry at kiosks located inside Target stores and also by visiting www.target.com. Click on Target Lists, then click on Find a List and enter first name: YWCA last name: Central Carolinas. You can also click on the following link
